Helps create a moist environment conducive to healing and keeps the wound protected. L-Mesitran Soft is a gel based on 40% clinical-grade honey, specially developed for wound treatment. Upon contact with the wound, the honey promotes the formation of a viscous gel that helps maintain a moist environment, favoring the healing process. The formula also contains hypoallergenic clinical-grade lanolin (Medilan), propylene glycol, PEG 4000, and vitamins C and E. The gel gradually dissolves, facilitating its removal during cleaning, and helps prevent the dressing from adhering to the wound bed. It can be used in the care of different types of wounds, including chronic wounds, pressure ulcers, surgical and post-operative wounds, cuts and abrasions, as well as 1st and 2nd degree burns.

Clean the wound and surrounding skin beforehand. Apply a thin layer of L-Mesitran Soft directly to the wound bed, keeping the tip of the tube away from the wound surface. Cover with a suitable secondary dressing. Reapply when the gel has disappeared, according to the amount of wound exudate or as directed by a healthcare professional.

Do not use if you have a known hypersensitivity to the product or any of its components. Avoid contact with eyes. Discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional if irritation or an allergic reaction occurs. If signs of infection appear, such as fever, pain, redness, or the presence of pus, or if the wound worsens, seek medical advice. Use only for a single patient.
